End of May

Elsa got a new toy! She thinks her new "bike" is pretty sweet and has enjoyed a few rides around the neighborhood.

Also in Elsa's world...

Enjoying a surprise visit from Aunt Kaylee and Memaw

Celebrating Cousin Ryan's 5th Birthday

Giving her dad a heart attack and climbing up everything

Hammin' it up in general...

Teething and not wanting to eat much...except salsa?

Saying goodbye to May and hopefully the chilly weather!

Mid-Week Thoughts

After a long work week (wait, it's only Wednesday?!), I'm not feeling very descriptive.  I could rehash  Elsa's 18 month check-up (exhausting), I could go on and on about the finale of Mad Men (but other real bloggers have said pretty much everything I would want to say (I liked it. It was very good. I will miss it.)), or I could post these pictures and then pretend like I'm actually going to stay awake long enough to watch the last Letterman. Ha!

18 month check up stats:
23.4 pounds (56th percentile), 31 inches tall (18th percentile),
46.4 cm head circumference (51st percentile)

Just hanging out eating some fruit on the kitchen floor

Cute thing Elsa is doing lately: Picking up hand towels around the house and wiping down surfaces saying, "I clean." She is my daughter. No doubt about that.

"cleaning" the shower

A rare date-night! Elsa stayed with her grandparents while we celebrated Jeanne & My Tran's wedding!

Outside!

Outside, outside, outside everybody, outside! Bubble Guppies! If you get that reference, you must spend a lot of time with toddlers or just really appreciate children's television programming. Anyway, we are spending a good amount of time in the yard lately and Elsa is loving it!

Loving the bubbles

Bapa & Grandma did some garage-saling!

Trying out the trampoline at Brynnleigh's Birthday party

Go Cubs!

one and a half

As of May 1, we have an 18 month old.

Elsa talks. A lot. I did it, more, please, sure, no, Momma, Dad, up, down, car, truck, eyes, nose, baby, bubbles, hi, bye, ball, swing, cheese, outside, got it, and on and on...If you can't understand what she is telling you, she is quick to grab your hand and show you.

She is quite the monkey - climbing up stairs and the slide (both up the steps and up the wrong way), and trying to scale up the cabinets when she wants to play in the sink.

She can be rambunctious sometimes, but on the rare occasion, a bit shy.

She sings. She dances. She colors.

She runs. She jumps. She cheers and waves. Wholeheartedly.

When she smiles, she smiles big, scrunching her nose and squinting her eyes.

She hugs. And kisses. And loves to snuggle (errr sleep on top of me).

We're just along for her wild ride...
