Pint-Sized Picasso

More cold days means more indoor fun!  I have been dying to try some art projects with Elsa so this past weekend I whipped up some homemade finger-paints (edible if you feel so inclined). She wasn't so sure about it at first, but with a little help from Mom she started showing off her artistic flare.  She must have liked tapping into her creative spirit because later in the week, while at Grandma and Bapa's she was "showing off" her talents!

And yes, that is basting brush from the kitchen. She's resourceful.

Okay, so I painted it in high school.  She just appreciates good work when she sees it!

15 Months Old

As of last week, we have a 15 month old! Elsa had her wellness check-up on Tuesday evening and we are happy to report that she continues to be a very healthy girl! She weighed in at 22lbs. (somewhere around the 60th percentile) and to no one's shock, is not very tall - ending up in the 16th percentile for height.  Everyday we are amazed at how much more she communicates with her expressions, how much she mimics what we say, and how she can respond to questions.  She is currently getting her first molar (and by currently, I mean it's been a whole week so far and it is still causing us all pain - she is not one of those babies who isn't effected by teething). Elsa's favorite things to do right now are to dance (especially to tv commercial jingles), read books, look out the front windows for squirrels, and put her baby doll to sleep (complete with a finger to the lips & shhh sounds).

Weekend Morning Bedhead and Sesame Street

We read Pinkalicious & Purplicious several times a day

Someone is getting an ear-full!
