September Catch-Up

Ooops....We've gotten a little far behind when it comes to the blog!  Therefore, I give you, a few of our end of September highlights...

First, Elsa has continued to keep busy exploring the house - drawers, cabinets, etc...

Just a couple girls in striped hoodies

Elsa loves helping with the dishes!

We also spent most of last weekend at Dwight's Harvest Days...

Visiting Grandma at her church's food booth

The highlight of Harvest Days for us was Erik winning the Inaugural Homerun Derby!  Lots of our family was able to come watch and we had a great time cheering him on!

With his pitcher and one of his biggest fans!

We made a trip to the carnival with the Flotts...

And finally, and most importantly, we welcomed a beautiful niece to the family.  Quinn Elizabeth Sand made her much anticipated arrival on September 22nd and we were lucky enough to spend some time with her (and her big brothers) over this past weekend.

Connor and Elsa both plotting to take over Ryan's chair

Kisses for his little sis

Elsa is so excited to have a girl cousin on the Golden side!

Ten Months

Well, it took ten months, but it finally happened...Elsa has decided she is far too busy to be slowed down for her monthly photo shoot...

To celebrate being ten months old (and the long weekend), we did a lot of playing around the house...

loves the big windows and watching dad grill out!

We went to Elsa's first parade - which Elsa mostly enjoyed, except for the loud train whistle that started the event.  She learned from her cousins that the candy is the best part and that in this county, the Republicans give out the best kinds!  (Also, if there is ever an appropriate place to wear your bib overalls, it is the Threshermen Reunion Parade.)

And finally, we have a major surprise!  We have a new pet!

Just kidding, you should know this mom is definitely not an animal lover, but this turkey has been wandering the neighborhood all summer.  This weekend it decided our back porch area was a fun place to hang out - quite the shock when Erik walked downstairs and saw it staring back at him through the windows!
