Shopping Carts? Restaurants? Bring Them On!

I'll be the first to admit that most of these baby milestones bring mixed emotions for me - I'm both happy to see our healthy girl grow, and a little sad to say goodbye to the sweetness of the newborn days.  However, Elsa has started to sit-up independently.  And I could not be happier.  Target without lugging in the carseat that takes up most the cart? Going to a restaurant and not having Elsa sit on my lap the whole time? Glorious. Elsa is loving her new skill too!

Spring Trimming

The yard is not the only one getting a trim...Elsa recently had her first haircut!  I use the term "haircut" loosely, as it was really more a matter of trimming the few (extremely) long hairs around her ears.  It was a truly luxurious spa experience...followed by a manicure (clipping nails) all in the comfort of her Bumbo seat on the kitchen counter.

Easter Weekend

For someone who can't yet eat candy, or go on an Easter Egg Hunt, Elsa had a pretty great Easter weekend (and we didn't even make a trip to visit the Easter Bunny)!  The highlights were definitely all the family time, making it through mass without any fussing (for Erik and Elsa), and getting to be outside in the sunshine.

5 Months

No foolin' - This sweetheart is 5 months old today! We are loving watching her grow and explore her world. 

 In the past month....

Elsa has officially graduated from the Puj tub in the sink to her bathtub (where she kicks and splashes like crazy)...

 

And started grabbing and picking up her favorite toys...
